Since the first computers have been launched on the market, the IT has drastically changed and left a decisive mark on the business world. Since then, nearly all work flow in companies is supported by IT, which significantly increases the efficiency and productivity. However, many companies still underestimate the risks, dangers and problems that arise by consistently employing IT. Many IT-providers either neglect security-related aspects while developing their solutions or keep information about risk potentials from their clients. Our experience shows that only very few companies dedicate themselves properly to the topic IT-security and thus are at particularly high risk. Moreover, one has to distinguish between internal and external risk factors. An internal risk factor would be employees who, either out of unawareness or with malice, share sensitive data with unauthorised persons. An external risk factor would be, for instance, an attack from outside which enables someone to gain access to sensitive data through different hacking techniques.
