Proficiency Knowledge Weapons
ISN International Security Network GmbH imparts profound knowledge to the trainees about how to deal correctly and safely with weapons and about the weapons law. After having passed the training, the state of knowledge is regularly reviewed.
According to the Weapons Law (WaffG) of the Federal Republic of Germany, in order to be allowed to handle rifles and handguns, one has to prove his/her personal aptitude and present the proof of the necessary, theoretic knowledge. § 7 WaffG demands, as a proof of this knowledge, the participation in a corresponding training and the taking and passing of the concluding examination.
ISN is officially accredited, and therefore allowed to offer this training course. We only appoint certified instructors. Our courses qualify the participants theoretically as well as practically. The examination, taken before a board of examiners, includes a theoretical part (with questions about: weapons law, civil law, criminal law and safety and security regulations) and a practical part, where the examinee has to prove his/her skills in dealing with and handling the weapon. A shooting evaluation completes the examination. Furthermore, every member of our staff who carries a firearm on duty is to be checked by the authorities about his/her personal aptitude and compelled to regularly participate in the mandatory, quarterly shooting. In addition to this, every six months we re-evaluate the knowledge of our staff members.
