No. For our Close Protection Training courses, an Early Bird Rate is available up to 70 days before the start of the respective course. Our pricing structure does not allow for any additional discounts.
In Germany, there is generally no specific professional qualification required by law to work in close protection. The main challenge is finding employment or obtaining a close protection assignment.
There are essentially two options:
You can work for a security company that already holds close protection contracts and hires you as an employee, or you can find a private individual who wishes to retain you for personal protection. In the latter case, you would either need to operate as a self-employed security professional or be employed directly by the person you are protecting.
The most common route is to become an employee of a security company that already provides close protection services.

If you intend to provide armed close protection services, you will also need proof of successful completion of the required firearms proficiency examination. In addition, there must be a legally recognized and substantiated need for the principal to receive armed protection.
The firearms-law aspects of close protection should not be underestimated. This is an area in which serious legal and procedural mistakes are frequently made. We strongly advise against providing armed close protection services without competent legal advice regarding the applicable firearms regulations.
Our training schedule is generally published toward the end of each year. If demand exceeds the number of courses originally scheduled, additional training dates may occasionally be released during the year.

We strongly recommend that anyone working in close protection hold a valid passenger vehicle driver’s license.
In principle, anyone may participate, provided they meet the required physical and psychological standards. Participants must also provide a clean German Certificate of Conduct (polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) with no criminal record entries.
Some training scenarios may take place in public environments. Please carry €20 in cash to cover incidental expenses such as purchasing a beverage or similar items during a scenario.
These expenses will not be reimbursed.
The course is highly intensive and requires a significant time commitment. During the nine training days, participants should expect to have very little free time beyond the training itself and the additional time required for studying and preparation.
