Dynamic Proficiency | Two-Day Pistol Mastery

(Advanced)

This advanced two-day course takes your pistol skills to the next level. Participants will refine core handgun techniques with an emphasis on speed, precision, and real-world applicability. The course builds upon the Modern Isosceles principles, adding dynamic shooting drills, advanced manipulation, and stress-based decision-making scenarios.

Day 1 focuses on foundational review and technique building. Day 2 increases complexity with advanced drills requiring fast and accurate engagement of multiple targets from various positions.

Weapons / ammunition can be provided by ISN for the duration of the course for a fee.

Course conducted in German.

Requirements

  • Clean criminal record
  • Basic knowledge and general fitness advantageous, but not required
  • Firearms proficiency certificate (§7 WaffG)
  • Weapons license or similar document(s) as per §23 AWaffV (General Ordinance on the Weapons Act)

  • Service pistol (iron sights)
  • Holster
  • Minimum 3 magazines and magazine pouches
  • ~600 rounds of ammunition
  • Training/tactical clothing (no camouflage)
  • Sturdy belt
  • Eye and hearing protection
  • Range Bag
  • Notepad/pen

  • Knee and elbow pads

Training Objective

The aim is to refine advanced pistol handling skills through intense, practical exercises. Participants will master complex shooting positions, target transitions, and situational awareness under pressure.

  • Drawing and holstering techniques
  • Ready and low-ready positions
  • Malfunction diagnostics and resolution
  • One-handed shooting (dominant and support side)
  • Speed and accuracy drills at varying distances
  • Conventional and unconventional firing positions
  • Shooting while turning/moving
  • Engaging multiple targets
  • Live fire drills (5–25 meters)
  • Shot analysis and troubleshooting
  • Equipment recommendations
